When I see the Daily Prompt, sometimes I know I have never used the word before, sometimes I’m not sure and sometimes, I know I have used the word in my works. Sometimes I’m wrong, but not today. I saw ‘glimmer’ and knew I had a paragraph to share. Here it is, from The Grey House, Book Two, Inside the Grey House:
“No.” Vincent stopped pacing, a glimmer of a memory in his eye. He turned quickly to Joseph. “She isn’t ready.” He was at his desk, shaking the invitation at Joseph in less then a second. “She only knows how to fight in comfortable clothing. And if she arrives at Edwin’s function in anything but eveningwear, she’ll be turned away. She’s never fought in an evening gown and heels.” Vincent hit the invitation against Joseph’s chest with each word as he finished his tirade. “She’s.” Thwack. “Not.” Thwack. “Ready.” Thwack.
