Vincent woke from a dream feeling completely unsatisfied. There was a knock on the door, but it was coming from the wrong direction again. He came more fully awake and realized he was still at the cabin. Annoyance seized his features as the body next to him stirred. He had accepted Mierka’s presence both nights while here, to try and assuage his hunger for Natalia. It worked, but not as well as he had hoped.
