Turns out, WordPress has stopped their Daily prompts, but I really liked the opportunity to share my work. I am trying to find another Word Prompt, but having trouble finding one I like. I will continue trying, and will do what I can to continue sharing. Until then, get out there and be creative! The world needs it!

Broken
via Broken
From The Grey House, Book One:
“Crap.” Charlie gave up the stealth and shoved the door open. He turned on the light as he walked in and then stopped. Something crunched under his boot. Backing up carefully, he looked down and became angry and scared. He had stepped on her already broken cell phone. He knelt and touched the pieces. Had she tried to call for help? Her phone was completely dead; he couldn’t even turn it on.
Ceremony
via Ceremony
From The Grey House, Book Three, Protector of the Grey House:
The head vampire turned to the room at large, breathing slow to stop himself from running after his lover. He had wanted to give Natalia her rank as soon as he saw her again, but knew the ceremony had to be postponed. He sighed heavily and decided. “You are dismissed. You have duties to attend to, go to it.”
Famous
via Famous
Something a little different today. From The Storm:
Once dressed in nice workout clothing, she placed her good clothing in her laptop bag and pulled out two fairly large duffle bags. She took one and then barefoot, found her way to the den. On the far wall, there was a large painting by a famous impressionist, whose name she could not remember. She went to the painting and touched the wall under it. No alarm. She pulled the painting away from the wall and let the hinges carry it open to reveal the safe on the wall.
Daily Prompt: Archaic
From The Grey House, Book Two, Inside the Grey House:
Natalia gave a nervous but proud laugh. “I feel like royalty.”
Lilly was carefully massaging conditioner into Natalia’s hair. “Stay with Vincent long enough and you will be.”
Natalia pulled away to look back at Lilly. She frowned at her healer. “What do you mean?”
“You’re Vincent’s woman. After you learn the ways of his house, you’ll run it.”
Natalia frowned. “Sounds archaic.”
“You will be given everything you want.”
Daily Prompt: Guilty
From The Grey House, Book One:
Natalia caught Vincent’s gaze and held it for a long moment. He could have stopped it; any one of the vampires could have stopped the Slayer. Since they didn’t, she had to wonder why. Vincent held her gaze, no guilt showing in his eyes.
“The next hit is yours, Natalia. Do as you will, but do not kill him.”
Daily Prompt: Assumption
From The Grey House, Book One:
Natalia watched as the man she assumed to be Vincent Grey walked toward the hallway and places beyond. The man he had been talking to was slowly making his way toward her. She had watched them talk and was worried that Vincent’s man had figured her out. Since he was making his way toward her, she would take care of it. Vincent Grey she would take care of later.
Daily Prompt: Disappear
From The Grey House, Book One:
If he told Vincent he wanted to investigate Natalia’s disappearance, then he’d have to tell the man how he knew her. He would have to tell her he had slept with her and would probably have to divulge any and all information he had about her. Charlie really didn’t feel he had the right to do that. Everything she told him had been in confidence, and although Vincent might consider his silence a betrayal, talking would be a betrayal to Natalia. He already betrayed her once by trying to turn her into a werewolf.
Daily Prompt: Awkward
From The Grey House, Book One:
Vincent reached his arm out and helped Aaron up again. He embraced the human, and a shocked Aaron awkwardly embraced him back. Vincent pulled back and looked the human in the face.
Daily Prompt: Premature
From The Grey House, Book One (I really hope someone out there is wondering how all this strings together):
Vincent stepped back and allowed Rebecca to hold onto Keith, then led the way to the last cell in the dungeon. This was where most of the stench came from. The door was already open; another guard opened it after the mage had been led upstairs. As the entourage walked closer, Keith started to struggle. The wolf had one arm around his torso, pinning Keith’s arms, and the other was holding his head to her chest. Rebecca was being very careful. Vincent had warned that Keith’s premature death would not be treated kindly.
