Vincent strolled over to Joseph and held out his hand for the key. Joseph looked his friend dead in the eye and understood. He reached into his pocket and handed Vincent the keys to the shackles, making as much noise as possible. Vincent took them, hid his glee and turned. He looked toward Keith first, who had known Vincent too long and knew the truth. His grim demeanor was ever present.

That taken care of, Natalia searched for Vincent’s businesses online and found a lot more information than she thought possible. When she searched his name before, without the business names, she came up with too many results. The business names narrowed the results to one person. She found public records on his businesses in the area. She also found his current birth certificate and a photo ID. Vincent Grey’s information stated he was in his 30s, but the photo was terrible. Still satisfied with the night’s work, Natalia readied for bed. She had a meeting with Zechariah and the other Slayers early the next day.

From The Grey House, Book One:
The curtains were drawn back revealing the protected deck. Joseph was placing a laptop and a manila folder on the wrought iron table. Vincent walked out to the deck and accepted the folder Joseph handed him. He glanced at the papers inside; quickly scanning the small amount of information Markus and Joseph had gathered on Natalia. He put the folder aside, feigning disinterest to stare out the window toward the ocean. He had lived in many different places with many different views. The ocean was his favorite.
From The Grey House, Book One:
Vincent heard the desire in her voice but knew she could be faking it. They were playing each other, using their bodies to try and gain control. Vincent was having fun, but he was also fascinated. This woman was not afraid. She should be, even if she did have Anthony under her control. Either she had no idea what she was doing, and was therefore a child playing adult games, or she knew, and liked it. He found himself hoping she knew what she was doing. He preferred smart, beautiful women. He decided to try one more tactic to win control.
From The Grey House, Book One:
“When was the last time you were with a man, Natalia? Did you take up the celibacy of the Slayer who ruins your life? Have you allowed yourself any pleasure in the past seven years?”
From The Grey House, Book One:
Through her tunnel vision Natalia made out the shapes of four Blitzkriegs forming a barrier between her and the Slayers. One of her guards picked her up and calmly walked up the steps as the werewolves faced off the Slayers. She went limp and passed out.
