From The Grey House, Book One:
Vincent contained his anger. He needed one more piece of information. “Which is?”

Vincent contained his anger. He needed one more piece of information. “Which is?”
From The Grey House, Book One:
Vincent had not expected her to be so willing. He had thought, after reading the file Joseph compiled, that he would have to kill her. Vincent had learned, through the years, that although female Slayers were not as powerful, their righteousness and belief often ran deeper and stronger than in male Slayers, making them deadlier. Maybe she wasn’t a Slayer.
From The Grey House, Book One:
She jumped into the air, spinning, using the staff as a long bat. She knocked down Miguel and Leroy, who were standing behind her. She heard the wolves growl and attack. A shot rang out from upstairs, causing Natalia to glance up as she landed. She saw a head and rifle barrel peering over the edge of the second-floor railing. It was a strategic location as the railing was solid wood. Natalia focused her attention back to the fray, wondering who went down, and saw Ryan on the ground, blood pooling by his head.
From The Grey House, Book Two, Inside the Grey House:
He left the room, expecting the men to follow. Rebecca stayed behind to watch the monitors. She tuned the screens to all have different camera views, but kept the main one focused on the fight. As the three men walked down the hallway, a tiny Natalia and a tiny Joseph squared off again. Rebecca winced in empathetic pain as the blur that was Joseph slammed the human against the wall. When Vincent entered the ballroom, Joseph had her pinned to the wall, her sword arm behind her, his hand wrapped around her throat. Each had now won one round. Rebecca settled back in the comfortable chair to watch the next match, which she suspected would actually be between Vincent and Joseph.
From The Grey House, Book One:
Once Vincent was outside he slowed and stopped, waiting for Joseph. His bodyguard came out a moment later, his cell already to his ear. Joseph was ordering the doctor to bring up the van. Mierka came out soon after, with the Slayer now tied up. She was leading him like a dog. He was scowling, but walked at her pace. It kept the rope from going taunt and tightening around his throat. She led him to a tree and tied him to it. The van arrived as she was finishing. Doctor Elving got out of the van carrying a little black bag. He killed the engine, but left the lights on. He was by Vincent’s side quickly, trying to check out the now passed out woman in his boss’ arms.
From The Grey House, Book One:
“She had friends waiting for her outside. Kim took her and her friends to another club with a few of our other friends. We will take them to a few clubs, make sure she and her friends get into an argument, make sure they are separated and then when the sun comes up, she will find herself very far from civilization, alone, out in the open. She will not return.”
From The Grey House, Book Two, Inside the Grey House:
“You owe me blood, Natalia.” His voice whispered into her neck, traveling up her jaw line. He watched her reaction as he exposed his fangs to her.
“I do.” A low whisper. “When will you collect your payment?”
From The Grey House, Book One:
“I get what I pay for.” A mischievous smile floated across his face, then faded. “What have you learned?”
From The Grey House, Book One:
She giggled. “They wanted me to earn my keep. Get this: I told them I was good with computers. They had me watching government sites to make sure no one knew about the camp. Anytime the place was mentioned, I was to erase it. I figured it was better to redirect their searches rather than erase all knowledge. It was a great tool.”
From The Grey House, Book one:
Rebecca shook her head as she walked toward the couch. “The humans are terrified of you and vampires want to change you.”
