Daily Prompt: Major

From The Grey House, Book Two, Inside the Grey House:

Natalia caught the handkerchief, bringing it quickly to her now torn left breast. Vincent had bitten her on the side of her breast, leaving an ugly gash. She ripped her button down shirt open, pressed the handkerchief to her wound, letting her bra hold the fabric in place. She tied the shirt in such a way as to stop her blood from flowing too much. She guessed correctly that Vincent knew exactly were to bite her in order to avoid major blood vessels. The handkerchief was stopping the blood quite well. Bastard.

Daily Prompt: Dominant

From The Grey House, Book Two, Inside the Grey House:

Vincent allowed her actions, savoring the smell of her blood, enjoying playing the submissive. It had always been the same between them. He could over power her, take what he wanted and leave her whimpering for more, but had no desire to do so. Since their first encounter, she held the dominant position. After nearly three hundred years, neither felt the need to change roles. The massive vampire allowed the diminutive woman to do as she pleased, feeling his wants and desires growing.

Daily Prompt: Redeem

From The Grey House, Book One:

She didn’t know what to do anymore. For the past seven years she had desperately tried to be a Slayer in the hopes of being able to redeem herself in the name of her mother’s memory. But now there was Vincent. Her first encounter with him had left her desiring more. Since their encounter, she had hoped to spot him here but regrettably, had not. She had applied to The Ocean’s Edge a year ago. Zechariah wanted a spy in the vampire’s network, and since she had experience, and the vampire didn’t know her face, she was the perfect candidate. It had been easy to get a job here; Richard was very susceptible to hypnosis.

Daily Prompt: Arise

From The Grey House, Book Two, Inside the Grey House:

“From now on, you will be Natalia’s protector. Should a situation arise in which I am attacking her, you will turn to your Alpha first and ask her for the best course of action. Is that clear?”

Daily Prompt: Trace

From The Grey House, Book Two, Inside the Grey House:

Vincent stood in the doorway, silently watching Natalia, who was standing by a window. She was standing naked, leaning against the wall, holding the curtain open with her body. He could see her weariness in her posture. His eyes traced the line of her back, over her ass and down her legs. He closed his eyes for a moment then walked to her, not making a sound. Her first indication he was in the room was when his hands slipped around her. She gave a ragged sigh and leaned into him, enjoying the feel of his hard body.

Daily Prompt: Tower

From The Grey House, Book One:

They stood regarding each other for a full minute not saying a word, sizing each other up. Vincent, at six foot two, towered over most women. This woman was nearly as tall as he. Vincent wondered how tall she was without her heels. His eyes narrowed a touch when she took a step forward.

Daily Prompt: Spite

From The Grey House, Book One:

Vincent narrowed his eyes and stared Charlie down. “The more questions I have to ask, the angrier I get. The angrier I get, the more likely I am to kill you before hearing the whole story, despite what your wife made me promise.”

Daily Prompt: Utter

From The Grey House, Book One:

There were a few times that her cell alarm went off when he was in the room with her. Each time, he asked her what it was. Each time, he seemed utterly and completely surprised when she pulled out her cell. The man seemed to overlook technology that couldn’t be used as weapons. When she first realized how little regard he had for technology, Natalia found it really strange. Now, locked in a spiked closet, she found it very useful. She could only hope for signal in this strange little closest. She reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out the cell and flipped it open. The phone showed full battery life and more important, full signal bars.

Daily Prompt: Shout

From The Grey House, Book Two, Inside the Grey House:

Joseph grabbed her wrist, spun her around, tightening his other arm around her. His words were a triumphant shout. “All of it!”

Daily Prompt: Apology

From The Grey House, Book Three, Protector of the Grey House:

Vincent folded his arms and called out to Joseph, whom he knew was watching from the security room. He waited in silence until Joseph opened the doors. Vincent sensed that he had brought guards with him. He smiled and waited until Morgan finally looked up at him.

“Sir? Don’t you accept my apology?”
