There are a few creatures in this trilogy that work for Vincent due to being indebted to him. Thing is, I’m not sure WHY they are indebted. At some point, I may explore the reasons why.

Torin left to flirt with one of the human guests and Vincent stared after him, shaking his head. He wasn’t sure why Torin was here but felt it had little to do with helping the girls to safety. Torin had his own agenda and never helped unless profit was involved. Vincent didn’t think Edwin had hired Torin, even though the Incubus’ loyalty was suspect. He had always known the Incubus was not to be trusted, but the demon owed him a great deal, and would stand by Vincent’s side until the debt was paid, mostly because his life depended on it.
