Vincent felt a presence beside him and turned to address the creature who smiled at him. “Good evening Torin. How can I help you?”
“I was wondering why Edwin’s greatest rival would be at a Red Tie Affair? You normally stay away from these.” Torin was dressed in his usual attire: jeans, red button down shirt open over a black t-shirt and black and red wingtip shoes. He looked much like a male model. It was one of the ways he drew women to him.
“Actually, I usually destroy these parties.” Vincent kept his voice low, as others were near. He turned his head to regard the demon. “Why are you here, Torin? I thought you stayed away from these.”
“As you said, you usually destroy these parties, and word on the street is, you’re planning something interesting.”
Vincent stayed silent.
