From Protector of the Grey House:
Vincent went back down to the kitchen where he knew there would be humans. He made sure to take enough blood to stay awake long enough to do as he pleased to his lovely Natalia. Done, he returned to Natalia, who he found leaning over the bathroom sink. She stared at herself angrily in the mirror. He came up behind her, caressed her arms as he wrapped himself around her and brought her to a standing position. He leaned in and kissed her neck softly.
Natalia tried to pull away, but he had her trapped. “Vincent, this isn’t… I’m not…” She shook her head, as she tried to find the words. “This isn’t right.”
“What? My wanting to make love to you in the wake of a battle? One passion replaces another. Why is that wrong? Because someone died? We will mourn him in three days’ time, Natalia. Tonight, I worship you.”
