Daily Prompt: wine

It took a lot to find a word today. Two of the first words that came up in the prompt today: coffin and cemetery. You would think, in a book about vampires, that the word ‘coffin’ would be used. Nope. They don’t need to sleep in coffins. Just darkness.

From Protector of the Grey House:

Vincent swirled his red wine slowly, looking through the glass, distorting the people around him. He disliked being here, but there was a reason for it. Tonight was the culmination of a year and a half or deception, training and conniving. Anthony found out easily that Morgan was passing on information to Edwin about Vincent’s household. Morgan spent time at Vincent’s but stated he never gave anyone information. He told stories though which made it easy for Edwin’s people to know what was going on with Vincent’s people, notably Natalia. As Morgan also told stories about Edwin’s people to Vincent, Vincent decided not to kill him.
