Larry pushed open the door of A Bar Called Always and stepped through. It had been a year since his last visit. Each year since adopting Shana, he had come to the bar once a year. He tried for more often at first, but Shana took up so much of his time. He wanted to… Continue reading Larry again

I used a site to create a free book cover for A Bar Called Always. It’s not what I envisioned, but it’s something. Call it a work in progress. Why did I decide to create a cover? Why am I even thinking about a cover? Because when I’m all done, I will be editing the… Continue reading Cover

Once fully opened, a man in ragged clothing stood in the doorway, the light illuminating him from outside. The sun was setting behind him and surrounded him in a halo. Word count stands at 45747. At this point it’s not “Get 50,000 words in one month” it’s “I’m supposed to finish my story in less than 5000 words?” Oh, and for the record, when this is done, it’ll be my 20th complete novel since 2005.

A lot of things going on today, but still managed to bring my word count to 40,400. Might get more done today, but we’ll see. I’m happy about the count so far. 😀
